The Children's Museum of Tacoma aims to be an educator's partner and resource. On-staff educators can tailor group visit to fit your learning objectives and our Play Guides ensure that everyone enjoys their visit. Educator packets filled with pre-visit and post-visit activities, links to the EALR's, and exhibit related vocabulary lists are available to you.

Our education staff has presented at regional workshops including "As a Child Grows", the ELEA Network in Early Childhood Conference, National Association of Children's Museums, Northwest Association of Youth Museums and the Seattle International Children's Festival Teacher Mosaic. Additionally, the Museum has held a variety of workshops on topics from science education to nurturing cultural awareness in the classroom. Our workshops frequently offer STARs credits and clock hours for educator professional development. Our goal is to help teachers infuse fun and excitement into learning for all children by sharing unique educational approaches and philosophies.
