Community Enrichment


The Children's Museum of Tacoma has been bringing the power of play to schools and childcare centers throughout our region for years. In 2003, we partnered with the Northwest Leadership Foundation to develop a top-notch afterschool program and worked with McCarver, Bryant, and Stanley Elementary schools to bring imaginative enrichment opportunities to students kindergarten through fifth grade. The partnership transformed into a collaboration with Peace Community Center in Tacoma's Hilltop neighborhood. Our fun, active program continues to guide students in exploration of language and culture, art and literacy, and science discovery.

After School Enrichment at Your Site


Add some excitement and enrichment to your after school program by including the Children's Museum of Tacoma. We bring our special curriculum, including materials, to your school site to facilitate lessons with your students. Classes can be scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. We've arranged with many of our after school program partners to include a visit to the Children's Museum of Tacoma. The visit is woven into the after school curriculum to bring the lessons to life in our hands-on environment.
