The Museum strives to help parents with the challenging and rewarding task of building healthy, nurturing families. Scientific research shows that positive parenting in children's health, academics and peer relationships provides a solid base for children to become productive, self-sufficient adults.

The Museum's goal is to be a place for parents to learn with their children through hands-on experiences provided in our programs, through lectures, with articles or publications we provide.

Parent Play Guides

We've created Parent Play Guides for each of our exhibits to help adults understand what their child learns while playing in the exhibit and how to best support their child's exploration. Each guide gives an overview of the exhibit, a list of content specific vocabulary, explanations of activity areas with tips for interaction, hints for continuing the fun at home, and a list of resources so you and your child can learn more.
